Lightweight, compact and durable DSLR EOS 1000D

This camera I bought for my company.  I have been instructed to buy a company’s dslr camera.   I proposed many types from many manufacturers such as Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sony and Pentax but after much consideration I bring it down to just two options.  First option is Canon either EOS 500D or EOS 1oooD.  The second option is Nikon either D3000 or D5000.  I need to find a camera which is light and compact yet have easy function to operate and take a good picture.  Price is also very important not more than RM2500/.  After I go through some specifications and catalogues I decided it’s going to be either EOS1000D or Nikon D3000. 

As usual, I went to FOTOSUN Kuantan and I asked for both of the cameras.  I look at the price and found that EOS1000D is much more cheaper.  I look at the ease of use and I also found that EOS1000D is much more easy to operate.  My final thought goes to Canon EOS1000D; sorry Nikon.  I also managed to get bigger SD Card and a moderate quality of UV filter; just for lens protection.  Below are pictures of the Canon EOS1000D.

I hope people who use it know how to take a picture.  This camera also comes with 15 months of warranty and I already registered the warranty online.  So no worry….

Telok Cempedak

Do you think he looks pro or amateur?

Yesterday on 19 February 2010, my friend Mohd Sharuddin Mohd or better known as MSM and I went for photography outing.  We proposed five locations; Telok Cempedak- Kuantan, Kemaman Zoo & Yah-yah Ibok, Chemerong waterfall- Dungun, Tasik Puteri- Bukit Besi (Dungun) and National Zoo- Kuala Lumpur.  Nevertheless we selected Telok Cempedak and keep our favourite Chemerong on other occasion.  Enough wording just look at these picture below;

BBQ Fire

31 January 2010, my family and I had a BBQ dinner.  The BBQ was nice.  My brother Fizu and Izzat put up the fire while my brother in law prepare the chicken.  As for me, I prepared the drinks and sausages.

We had a full a moon last night.  The wind was at the right knot.

What a great night.  You know, i actually expecting my 2 good friend that night but they can’t make it.  Tey really miss out this one.

Relax at Bukit Besi

Bukit Besi where once people used to mined ore now a tourist attraction.  I say not bad, the scenery is beautiful and there’s a place where you can swim. 

Bridge to the island

Just look at the scenary above; calm and refreshing.  It’s one and a half hour drive from Cukai but you have to go through Ibok, Seri Bandi and then Jerangau highway.  Other alternatives is to go through Binjai, Pasir Gajah, Air putih and Jerangau Highway( this will take roughly 2.5 hours).  hey, along the Jerangau Highway you will see road to Chemerong waterfall.  People said this waterfall is much more beautiful than Bukit besi.  Well I don’t know, never been at Chemerong Waterfall. 

Enough with Chemerong, lets talk about Bukit besi lake.  Here some more pictures

The area is very calm.  When I arrived, there were not many people yet as it was Friday and just 3.30pm.  At  around 4.30pm then few people arrived.  My wife and kid were playing in the lake but I just took the pictures.

At 5.30pm, we went home.  On the way back, my wife managed to take a few shots along the Jerangau highway.
